When you bought your home, you no doubt scheduled a thorough pre-purchase inspection. You read that report carefully, looking for major deficiencies that could have scuttled the sale and using minor issues to lower the asking price.

When you put your home on the market, you scheduled another home inspection, this one to reassure potential buyers that the property was free of major problems. You used that inspection report to attract more qualified buyers and make the sale go more smoothly.

Other Inspections

What you may not realize is that home sales and purchases are not the only reasons for home inspections. There are plenty of other things to look for in a home inspection, and plenty of other reasons to schedule one today.

From keeping your home free of pests and making sure there is no hidden radon lurking in the basement to making sure the water is safe to drink and the waste treatment is working the way it should, there are lots of reasons to schedule a home inspection today.

Radon Testing

Radon is a colorless, odorless gas – and it can be a deadly one. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer, and many homeowners do not even know it is present.

Radon can seep up through the basement, invading your home and putting your family in danger. Having your home inspected for radon now will allow you to address the problem by retrofitting your home to seal this dangerous gas away.

Certificate of Compliance

Certain counties, one being Dekalb County, require all homes built prior to 1993 have a Certificate of Compliance submitted to them before they turn the water on for the home. This certificate confirms that the home has water conserving plumbing fixtures. If you have your home inspection provided by us this service is included in your inspection. If you are looking to have just the certificate completed we can come to your home, check the fixtures our and complete the form for $100.
