I read review of the detail of Family Shield inspections and also saw a few examples that the company provided, and this convinced me to give them a try. I am so grateful I made that decision! Chris was punctual, attentive, extremely professional, and so unbelievable thorough. He spent about 4.5 hours on my inspection, roof, home , and radon tests. Then he walked me through the home and spent about 1.5 hours to review all of his findings with photos, explanations, recommendations with me, and I really appreciate that he classified issues as either cosmetic, minor, major, and very serious. It helped me see what needed to get fixed right away, what could be fixed in the next 6 months and what was on the horizon for the next 1-2 years. He identified minor issues to address that could save major costs and mitigate major leaks and other future serious problems with the roof and outside drainage, so it was great to also get the preventative input. As a new home owner Chris's insight helped me to see what I am really dealing with and how to proceed. My real estate agent was super impressed, and my coworker read his detailed report and said "This makes me want to get him to inspect me home just so I can see what problems I might have down the road, and fix things now before they get very serious and very expensive". Owner Chris did an amazing job with our home inspection! He spent 4 hours painstakingly documenting every minute detail about the home we are buying. He personally inspected the roof, the attic, and the crawl space and provided quite a thorough written report (the next day) including clear photos of even the smallest damage he observed. Chris was quite knowledgeable and answered all our questions and made some insightful recommendations. To our amazement, Chris brought shoe covers to wear while in the house to protect the carpets and even passed around bottled waters from his truck to share with all of us present!
